G’day, GN…and Happy Birfday: Day II to K8! (Glad teh ladies’ luncheon went well, too.)
Jerrie –
Thanks for your photo update; hope you took it easy re shoveling. (And that teh would-be snowboarders helped.)
JtB –
Really enjoyed your description of the school presentation; I had a mental image of the audience in the original ’60s film of “The Producers”. Had I been present as a yout’, I suspect I’d have had a nasty case of the giggles. (Very loud giggles, as I have effectively no sense of decorum regarding such silliness; it’s a wonder LadylikeK tolerates me. Oh, wait…)

Drive-by:
Most pawthetic and depressing Super Bowl halftime show evah. Townshend looked like he mostly was miming his guitar parts.
The stage looked like a tribute to Janet Jackson’s nipple.
Meh.

http://cdrsalamander.blogspot.com/2010/02/bg-mcsoulpatch-arrested-by-fbi.html
BG McSoulpatch has been arrested and charged with stolen valor.
The pictures ignited a flurry of bloggers attempting to figure out who was parading around town as this highly-decorated war hero. They pushed to expose what they see as improper and illegal, saying “the violations of uniform regs are legion” and “This is illegal as per the Stolen Valor Act and this guy needs to go to jail. This has been a cancer for a long time, but with the internet we can do what other generations could not.”
YAY!! Nice work from teh blogosphere.

We just watched the movie “Temple Grandin” on telly. It’s wonderfully done! It will be available on HBO On demand.
A biopic of Temple Grandin, an autistic woman who has become one of top scientists in humane livestock handling.
Temple Granden wrote “Animals in Translation” and “Emergence”.
