Shameless carryover from the previous thread:

You know, all HEALTHY kids have a little chunkiness at a pre-teen level. They need it to grow. If they are still chunky at, say, 14, then maybe there is a problem. Maybe not.

I want to point out that this is the first thread I’ve actually posted in a long time. Others have been doing all the work for me for many months/a year? I’m a little bit fuzzy on how long but it’s been a long time and TeX and Gentle Mac have been doing it all alone.

I salute and thank them both!

I see Minteh did a Daily Squeak update yesterday.

Good job on the thread, Miss Harper, and thanks too to X and Mac for keeping things rolling along.

Need to check the property-the wind has picked up.

Jerrie – You’re the voice of reason there. Thank you, Sir! I hope you’re enjoyin’ my snow. It’s perfect for cuddling…. just sayin’

Sven, I hope they do. Peta doesn’t deserve Elvgren level hips. Stringy, shrunken brained, paint throwers.

Harper!
Sorry, received a phone call just after I posted.
Teh Younger’s soccer match was conducted in a rainstorm – replete with high winds and low temperatures. He should be quite the sight when he arrives home.

I didn’t know BrendaK had a bare skin rug.

Fatwa – that sculpture is perfectly appropriate if made of papier mache – lightweight, hollow, cheap, and not fit for posterity.

Cold storm here-the temp is down to 45 degrees and blustery-it’s like a real winter storm. Poor yuccas can’t handle it; lost a few more.

Sleepy drive-by:

I came down with a hellcold Thursday morning and missed the diocesan convention. But I was able to sorta be there thanks to a friend live blogging it on Facebook. The new Bishop’s address was wonderful!

However, what I wanted to share is this: I had a brief but beautiful dream while I took a nap this afternoon. Cole was sitting very solemnly but happy while Princess Taffy stood behind him licking him like he was her new puppy. And behind Taffy was Shelley (my first personal dog, not family pet)laying her head on Taffy’s back with a look of pure contentment, like she slept every night with her head on my back.

It was an amazing image- my three children together! I wish I could draw it but I can’t. I can only preserve a pale image of it on this thread.

Hiya Miss Em,

Great dream. You want another doggy?

I just came in from sweeping the porch to find Sarah eating tomorrow’s pot roast. I had put it in the sink, at the back of the sink, while I went out.

Yep, she somehow pulled herself up to get to it. Now I’m without dinner AND I have to clean up blood from the family room carpet.

I yelled at her but with a belly full of beef she didn’t seem to care.

Stupid DOG!

Comment by Miss Emily

February 5, 2010 @ 7:18 pm

Not stupid dog. You put the roast where she could find it. And left. And uncaring? Stoopid human.

Stoopid human.

Well, OK, that’s been well established, but I still maintain that she is one of God’s special little creatures. When she dies she’ll be taking the short bus to heaven!

Jeez, I just walked into the office to find the contents of my briefcase pulled out and a pack of mints opened and emptied. I guess Sarah felt the need for some after-dinner mints after her three pound pot roast.
